Day 3 of riding

Hi everyone! Well today was great but super challenging. We did the full 75 miles and we are tired but feeling good. It got super hot and hilly and we had to make sure to keep hydrated and get enough to eat. Sam is absolutely loving it- he wants to do the full week next year and he said he might have to come without me if i’m thinking a 1/2 week again! He has consistently been the one who is ready to hop back on the bike after a break and won’t consider the 1/2 distance for tomorrow… all that to say, he is crazy for RAGBRAI! here are some pictures of today- he was thrilled to have a Belgian waffle for breakfast !

Day 2 of ridding

Today was another good day but it did have some stumbling blocks. We got up at 6 and had a small bite to eat before we left. We ( me, my mom and Mandy one of moms friends) did not stop until the 2 town. We had some pie and coffee before we left. Then we went on to the next town. We only stopes to use the bathroom then we went on. About 5 miles out of town we stopped for a stand called Mr. Pork-chop. That my friends is a good pork-chop. We hardly tasted it. Then we got my foot stuck in the wheel of the bike. That hurt. Other than that the ride went great. Tomorrow we are doing 75 miles. Yikes
